I did reinstall the Adobe Application Manager. Now the update ends with another error - U44M2P7 (I have a MB Pro 15" Retina).
Should I proceed with the full photoshop reinstall as you suggested? It is true that I have probably removed some of the UI languages I do not need / use from Photoshop with XSlimmer.
