Thanks for the reminder.  Here is the information you requested. System is Dell laptop (Vostro 1500), using WIN XP PRO SP3.

Same error message apperars when explictly statring setup.exe using Explorer & IE8, 8.0.6001 with all AV disabled.  I do have Adobe Reader XI installed (with no problem), but would not expect a conflict with Acrobat XI install.

Any record of this error message while trying to install Acrobat XI Pro?
