Hi Rockpoint SFD,
If there is a process named 'AAM Update Notifier' or 'AAM Registration Notifier' is running. Kill this prcoess and then try again installing Adobe Application Manager.
1) Rename the OOBE folder to OOBE OLD from <youruser>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
2) Download and install AAM update from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
3) Then try launching AAM.
