the activation servers are no longer working for cs2.
so, adobe has made available for licensed users like you, a version of you licensed software cs2 that does not need activation. but it does need to be downloaded and installed: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-act ivation-end-life.html
