It keeps getting attached because there are agreements between companies to support each other in this manner. You should be able to deselect the option to install if it is preselected.
It is an unfortunate practice considering the many people like yourself who object to it. But since you seem to be acutely aware of the practice, it should be less of a problem for you to remember to deselect it.
